The Department of Attorney General and Justice (DAGJ) administers copyright law across the NSW Government. This responsibility lies within the Legislation, Policy and Criminal Law Review Division of DAGJ.
This site provides important information for government agencies to ensure the NSW Government meets its obligations under the Copyright Act 1968 and effectively manages copyright material owned or used by the government.

ALRC review of the Copyright Act
On 30 March 2012 the Commonwealth Attorney General announced the draft terms of reference for a review of the Copyright Act by the Australian Law Reform Commission. The terms of reference focus on exceptions to infringement. Submissions on the terms of reference are due by 27 April 2012. If you would like to contribute to a submission, please contact the State Copyright Manager.
